Bright Star Preschool Program
Building confidence, curiosity, and kindergarten readiness
Preschool Program – 3 Years to 5 Years
The preschool years are magical—a stage where children’s natural curiosity sparks endless “why” questions and their growing abilities empower them to take on more complex challenges. Our Bright Star Program nurtures this enthusiasm while equipping children with the academic, social, and emotional skills they need for lasting success.

Academic Excellence Through Play
-
Emergent Literacy – Storytelling, dramatic play, environmental print, and early phonics activities help children develop pre-reading skills in fun, natural ways.
-
Mathematical Thinking – Counting, sorting, patterning, and measurement are integrated into cooking, building, and daily routines, making math meaningful and hands-on.
-
Scientific Inquiry – Nature studies, discovery centers, and simple experiments encourage children to observe, ask questions, and draw conclusions.
-
Social Studies – Visits from community helpers, cultural celebrations, and classroom responsibilities teach children about their community and the wider world.
-
Creative Arts – Painting, drawing, sculpting, music, and drama provide daily opportunities for creative expression while strengthening fine motor skills.

Project-Based Learning
Children explore their interests through extended, hands-on projects that may span several days or weeks. These meaningful experiences foster curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork. Recent projects have included building a classroom post office, studying local bird species, and creating a restaurant in our dramatic play area.
Portfolio Development
We thoughtfully document each child’s growth with photos, work samples, and observational notes. These comprehensive portfolios not only celebrate each child’s unique learning journey but also provide a valuable foundation for their transition to elementary school.
All programs are customized to your child’s progress, needs and age.
